Lovelace Dam Removal
In the summer of 2023, M&M Services crew finished the removal of an abandoned concrete former mill dam called Lovelace Dam as part of a larger focused effort to restore access to habitat for native salmon and steelhead in Slate Creek, a key spawning tributary of the Applegate River.

This is the first completed dam removal using funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law through the federal Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund managed by the National Marine Fisheries Service. The funding was distributed by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board.
