Good for the Herd, Great for the Habitat

Implementing a combination of riparian rehabilitation on 13.5 acres along with protecting this action with fencing on both sides of the creek and placing large wood at 15 strategic locations within the project reach will address multiple threats, limiting factors, and recommended improvements.

The project is located on agricultural land where improving riparian conditions will have beneficial water quality results by reducing nutrient loading and water temperature.

Little Butte Creek is water quality limited for a variety of factors including sedimentation, bacteria, pH, and temperature.

A thriving native riparian forest can filter nutrients and provide shade more efficiently, improving water quality for everyone.
