Why the Rogue?
I am driven by challenges and curiosity and am excited to work towards exploring and encouraging the connections between people, ecology, and conservation."

Emily Ulman

Restoration Project Manager

Emily joined the RRWC team in December 2023. She brings with her over four years of experience working in the stream and wetland mitigation banking industry, and over six years combined working in the environmental field. Born and raised in the southeast, Emily graduated from North Carolina State University with degrees in Environmental Science and Plant Biology. Her interests have opened doors to working on trail crews in Vermont, county parks in North Carolina, restoration projects throughout the southeast, and small-scale family farms in southern Alaska.

She is a self-proclaimed plant nerd and is excited to explore the vegetative diversity of Southern Oregon (and the
rest of the Pacific Northwest). In her free time, Emily enjoys road biking, hiking, canoeing, cooking spicy food, and playing around with fermentation (her beloved sourdough starter’s name is Zelda).
